Each Roo-hide saddle is assigned a unique serial number that we use to identify each saddle. We have each new saddle owner register their saddle so in the event your saddle is stolen we can help get your saddle back to you. The saddle security serial number can be found underneath the stirrup leather stamped on the skirt, on either side of the saddle.

 

Preventative Recommendations When Purchasing A New Or Used Saddle

1. After you purchase a new or used saddle, Register It With Roo-hide as soon as possible.

2. Before buying a used Roo-hide saddle, Contact Us to research the saddles' serial number you want to buy. This helps you avoid the risk of buying a stolen saddle.

3. Once you have made your saddle purchase, please let us know so that we can change the registered owner of that saddle.

4. If you have an early Roo-hide saddle that does not have a serial number, and you want the saddle registered, please give us a call or email us and we will help register your saddle.

What To Do If Your Saddle Is Missing

We want to do everything we can to make it difficult to sell a stolen saddle and help return the saddle back to its rightful owner. Contact Us Immediately so we can provide the necessary information to the authorities and your insurance company. We also check every saddle that comes into the shop for repair against known missing and stolen saddles.
