NCHA East Coast Ride For The Roo Rules

We had a great time with last years NCHA/East Coast Ride For The Roo and we are doing it again for 2010. We have already had questions on this years contest and to make sure all of your questions are addressed quickly and accurately we have enlisted the help of Ride For The Roo expert Kim McCarty. Please send all questions to kmccarty58@aol.com and Kim will follow up with you.

Below are the rules for the 2010 NCHA/East Coast Ride For The Roo:

The 2 classes we are awarding saddles in are, the 3,000 Novice Horse, and the 50k Amatuer.

1.) The Horses must be owned by an owner residing east of the Mississippi,
2.) ONLY MONEY WON EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI WILL COUNT. Any earnings won outside of the designated areas will not count.
3.) The saddle won in the 3K Novice Horse will be awarded to the TRAINER of the horse, *In the event of multiple riders, (on the winning horse) the rider with the most earnings will be awarded the saddle.
4.)* In the event of a transfer in ownership, the horse must be owned a minimum of six (6) months by an owner residing east of the Mississippi.
5.) In the 50K Amatuer, The RIDER will be awarded the saddle (regardless of how many horses he/she rode.)
***Again only money won EAST of the Mississippi (designated areas) will count, The Owner/Rider must also reside east of the Mississippi.****

East Coast NCHA Ride for the Roo is back!!!!

We had so much fun with the Ride For The Roo last year that we are doing it again. The NCHA is tracking the standings and publishing the leaders in the chatter each month. It is our hope that you have fun and we look forward to seeing how this years contest shapes up.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year!!!
Fort Worth turned out to be a lot of fun as usual and it was nice to see everyone!
I want to say thank you to Florida cutting horse association for choosing us to provide their trophy saddle for their 2008 awards! You can learn more about them at www.floridacha.com.
Tomorrow I am on the road to buckeye Az. Arizona cutting horse associations January show. It has been a while since I have been to this show and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again, so please stop by. You can find more about the show at www.azcha.com.

We are at the NCHA 08 World Championship Futurity

We are all set up at Fort Worth!! The trip down was great the lower diesel prices were a welcome sight. This year you will find us up front and center on your way to the trade show. I hope you all will take a moment to stop by and say hello.
I am very excited about our new tree. This tree will allow us to further improve the fit for the horse and the feel for the rider. If you can believe it we have actually moved the rider closer to the horse. Stop buy and I will show you what we have done.

Congratulations to Rob Hodgeman

Australia NCHA 35th Annual Futurity
Rob Hodgeman rode the Hodgeman and McGregor nomination of EB’s Mia Cdee by Bank Fulo Cdees to win the ANZ Open Futurity Final, scoring 148. Rob’s first time futurity win sent him home with a record first prize of $75,000 plus a Roo-Hide Saddlery Trophy saddle

Where are Roo-hide saddles made??????

It seems to be a burning question. Some of my competition has confidently stated that our saddles are made in Mexico or points abroad. I want to put all my clients at ease you are riding in a completely handmade saddle built with pride in the USA!!!!!
My saddles are hand cut, hand tooled and hand assembled in the USA. Other than a sewing machine we do it all by hand! I take great pride in this and will not compromise on this issue. I offer my clients both new and old my very best and nothing less, the best saddle and the best service.

At the Breeders

It has been quite a while since my last post. The NCHA Western National was a great show we saw old friends and made new ones. The weather did not let us down we had a good dusting of snow!
From there it was a dead run to Las Vegas for the Breeders. Just like all of you the high price of diesel is making travel a bit painful. If you are at the Breeders stop by the trailer and say hi!

El Rancho Show

We are at the El Rancho show here in Rancho Marietta Ca, the weather has been nice just a bit windy. It is great to get back on the road and see every one again. We will be pulling up stake late Sunday on our way to the NCHA Western Nationals. We are excited to be awarding a high point saddle at the Western nationals just like we did at the Eastern Nationals. If you see the trailer stop buy!
